It is not an unknown fact that Dubai is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world due to its picturesque architecture and luxurious aura. And one of the first things that come to your mind when you talk about Dubai is the palm-shaped island, standing majestically at the shore of Dubai. This imagination is going to be even stronger with the relaunch of Palm Jebel Ali. Before diving into the details of Palm Jebel Ali's relaunch, let's first gain some insight into the history of Palm Jebel Ali.

A Lookback

Before 2001, Dubai’s coastline had nothing but sweltering tides from gulf water. However, in 2001, Nakheel Properties, a leading real estate developer in Dubai, embarked on the creation of Palm Island, an archipelago of three man-made islands on the coast of Dubai. The plan was grand, covering residential areas, commercial zones, leisure facilities, marinas, and luxury hotels and resorts. Though the idea couldn’t materialize as planned and underwent many changes later on, the construction of the first and the smallest island Palm Jumeirah, was completed in 2007. And today it is known as one of the most iconic developments in the world.

Palm Jebel Ali

The construction of the second island, Palm Jebel Ali, began in 2002. However, the road to completion was not without challenges. The global financial crisis of 2008 cast a substantial shadow over Dubai's real estate market, causing a slowdown in construction projects across the city. Palm Jebel Ali was one of the projects that were impacted, and in 2009, the project was put on hold for an indefinite period of time.

The Relaunch of Palm Jebel Ali

Earlier this year, Dubai’s real estate market buzzed with a roar of excitement when Nakheel Properties announced the relaunch of Palm Jebel Ali.

A couple of months after the announcement of the relaunch of Palm Jebel Ali, on September 20, 2023, the first set of villas was announced for sale by Nakheel. A huge number of people lined up outside the Nakheel Sales Center on the launch morning to make a booking. The first villas were sold out really fast—within hours. This marks the grand success of Palm Jebel Ali's relaunch.

What the Plam Jebel Ali Has to Offer

1. The Beach and Coral Collections

The grand project offers luxury villas with 5, 6, and 7 bedrooms and plots with ultramodern design and facilities. Currently, two unique villa collections have graced the market:

  • The Beach Collection offers 5-bedroom premium villas, further sub-categorized into Provence, Indigo Ocean, Azure Blue, and Mediterranean, alongside six-bedroom options, namely Blue Horizon, Sapphire, Aquamarine, and Tropical Mist.
  • The Coral Collection presents ultra-luxurious seven-bedroom villas, further subdivided into Hibiscus, Coral Living, Red Aurora, Porcelain Roses, Cranberry Sky, Terracotta, Redwood, and Ruby Sunset.

Each villa is designed with a spacious living area, staff quarters, a lift, balconies, a roof terrace, and a 2–4 car garage. Some villas also feature a study room, providing a quiet and peaceful space for those who love to read and work in solitude. Adding to the allure, the villas also incorporate private pools and dedicated access to the white sandy beach at their doorstep.

2. The Premium Plot Collection

Along with the luxury villas collection, the island also offers the Premium Plot Collection for those who want to design each element of their house according to their choice and taste.

3. Palm Jebel Ali Fronds

Palm Jebel Ali, when completed, will be almost double the size of Palm Jumeirah, encompassing seven islands and 16 fronds, adding around 110km to the glory of Dubai’s coastline. Occupants can relish enchanting, boulevards with exquisitely landscaped pathways. Promoting an active, family-friendly lifestyle, each frond offers wide, pedestrian-friendly streets for easy access to the beach on either side.
